About Ateliê397 – Bruna Battistini

Ateliê397 has always been my creative home. From the very beginning, it was more than just a studio—it was a place of experimentation, dialogue, and artistic freedom. Here, I could explore ideas, develop my work, and connect with other artists, curators, and the public in ways that expanded my vision. Over the years, Ateliê397 has grown and evolved, but for me, it remains a space where art comes to life, where imagination meets practice, and where every project carries the energy of collaboration and discovery.

This site-specific work at Ateliê397, presented at its opening under the title Dança, connected not only the space but also a series of emotionally significant objects for me, including drawings by other artists who shared art ideas—Marco Giannotti, Rosilene Fontes, José Bernnô... All of these elements were united by the sewing machine of my late paternal grandmother, Josepha Fonseca, along with old threads and found objects that trace the steps and paths of life.
